Presenting the most celebrated Artists of our time in the issue — starting with Bladee — Swedish rapper, singer and cultural innovator known for his genre-defying blend of cloud rap, experimental hip-hop, trap and alternative pop. plus designer Stefano Pilati, who tells us: “What poem are you most fond of? Why? The Lion for Real by Allen Ginsberg. The lion’s presence is both literal and metaphorical, representing the man’s own inner turmoil and search for meaning. The man’s attempts to share his experience are met with indifference or hostility, reflecting feelings of alienation. What’s your favourite meal? Pizza. Who’s your favourite pop star? Prince. What’s your most-liked piece of classical music? How does it make you feel? Mozart, Requiem in D Minor. It makes me feel celestial.”
Jackson Wang — MAGICMAN 2, Wang’s third solo LP, is a recent release and follows 2022’s MAGIC MAN, the beginning of the concept that was born from burnout. This time Jackson has made an impact showing more vulnerability and letting emotions rule, having emerged from a self-confessed period of darkness — what he feels behind the cameras. The work is themed around four chapters taking listeners through Manic Highs, Losing Control, Realisation and Acceptance,
Tommy Cash, who says: “The most painful thing as you grow in the business is that you start to think like a CEO. You make the decisions. The biggest fuck up is that when you’ve been in the game long enough is that your brain starts to overtake your heart. The brain sees how people react, what works, what doesn’t, what your style is. Basically, you start to think more, and at one point, you’re overthinking. + Romeo Beckham,
and a LOT more.
