TRAVELLING Brit Drew Kemp has been loving life in the southern hemisphere after forsaking the 'joys' of a British winter for South America and a crack at the Argentinian Championship. In this week's magazine, he tells us: “I’m 23 now, so I’m mature enough to understand it and realise how much it’s going to benefit me. Even without racing a speedway bike, it’s a good experience for life, really. Not many people would come to Argentina, would they? For me, it’s a good opportunity away from the pressures of racing in the UK, which can be quite tense three, four times a week. So, it’s nice to come here, relax, and do what I like to do. I’m riding borrowed equipment. None of what I'm using is from my own bike, so it has been a good start. I underestimated how difficult it would be. I’d sent a box full of clutch plates and stuff like that, but I sent old ones thinking that I could get away with it."
