SOME serious injuries stunted Jordan Jenkins’ early career progress and led him to him considering his future in the sport when Covid hit in 2020. But now the Norwich youngster is on the up and up again with Peterborough and Oxford and hoping to make his mark on the international scene. In this week’s edition, he reveals: “I do feel I’m a very underrated rider and hope people open their eyes. I’ve stepped up to the plate and I think I deserve a bit more credit than I have had in previous years. I’ve never been selected for any Great Britain events, I have never been picked and it has been frustrating but I can’t control those decisions. I think one day, if I work as hard as I can, there will be a time I can be called upon and if that time comes I’ll try my hardest to put everything into whichever event it is. I haven’t had a selection so far but it is what it is and I’m not going to moan about it, that doesn’t get you anywhere. I have just got to keep working, I’m only 31 now.”
