LEON Madsen has been crowned European Champion for a third time, cementing his status as the top SEC performer following his ninth consecutive podium finish. Madsen emerged triumphant from a hectic finale to the deciding round in Pardubice to pip Poland's Maciej Janowski to the title by just one point. In this week's magazine, he reveals: “People shouldn’t get it wrong – the European Championship is hard. It’s competitive on a level almost like the GPs. Everyone wants to win it because it’s an entrance to the GPs. People really race hard here and you have to be at the top of your game in every round. There is no room for mistakes. There are only four rounds.”
