COVER 80 is our celebratory 20th anniversary issue. The ‘Twenty Years of COVER’ section comprises the twenty favourite rugs of industry experts and a look at twenty years of design plus twenty small/new/young brands to look out for. We talk to Warp & Weft’s founder Michael Mandapati about twenty-five years in the business, Sanchir Kath on joining Jan Kath, and David Rockwell on his new collection with The Rug Company. 

The COVER Connect New York section gives the lowdown on the upcoming September event in Manhattan, from the nine new brands coming in 2025 to the latest rugs that will be on show. We also preview High Point Market, Maison&Objet Paris, the IHGF Delhi Fair, Decorex and the London Design Festival plus there are reports from Las Vegas Market and 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen.  

A focus on the latest collections for autumn includes new rugs by Floor Story, Unknown Carpets, Jennifer Manners, Maharam and Rezas. US brand Tamarian and fair trade NGO Label STEP both celebrate thirty years, and we look at the new books celebrating fifty years of the Kips Bay Show House and sixty of the Pasadena Showcase House of Design. Trends on the horizon include wellness and Luminous Blue.
