Jazzwise magazine’s May issue is out now with an exclusive cover feature on pioneering Brit Jazz pianist, composer and bandleader Mike Westbrook ahead of his appearance at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival, where he will perform his acclaimed album, On Duke’s Birthday with his Uncommon Orchestra. Inside there are interviews with more Cheltenham headliners including trumpeter Dave Douglas, pianist Myra Melford and Austrian upstarts Shake Stew, plus an exclusive interview with Brazilian jazz legend Hermeto Pascoal, ahead of his farewell UK tour.
