The Spring 2025 issue of COVER is the first of our 20-year anniversary editions and has three front covers. The first features the Destiny rug of artist Mirmola, who discusses his work and design aesthetics in the magazine. The second is from the new Domni, The Dance Within collection by Tissage, which we report on in a six-page exclusive feature. The third cover is our special edition for Milan, featuring Jan Kath’s dazzling new Cyprinus collection, which will be launching during Milan Design Week in April. In relation to this future event, we also report on Lila Valadan’s show at the Alberto Levi Gallery, the latest rugs from cc-tapis and offer highlights that will be on across the city.
Further event reviews include COVER Connect Las Vegas, Maison&Objet Paris, Heimtextil, Las Vegas Market, Déco Off and CFE Istanbul while we preview Domotex asia/CHINAFLOOR, HIgh Point Market, the Azerbaijan International Carpet Festival and textile event XTANT in Mallorca.
This issue also features the last in our Bestselling rugs article, this time looking at worldwide brands in areas such as Africa, Australia, South America and India. Brands Dinodo, Knothouse, Patty Studios and Arian Fasihzadeh come under the spotlight. In Collections, we look at Katherine Parr's new rug series with Turquoise Mountain, and the latest from JD Staron, Paulig, Rug + Loom and Choudhary Exports. Further features detail the new Econyl Bespoke yarn, the 'RugLife' exhibition at the Museum of Craft and Design San Francisco, rugs highlights at Kips Bay Palm Beach and creating banana fibre flooring in Uganda with TEXFAD and Crayon Artel.
