The management of ulcers feature in a number of papers, including: the management of diabetic ulcers of the dorsum of the foot and distal leg ulcers; the effectiveness of silver dressings in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) is the focus of a systematic review and meta-analysis; a narrative review summarises the evidence of the non-surgical treatment of arterial leg ulcers; and a descriptive analysis and comparison examines the complications related to DFU and associated social vulnerability factors at a referral centre in Brazil.

A wound alkalinity measurement to predict non-healing wound outcomes is described, as is the clinical application of polylactic acid/gelatin nanofibre membrane in hard-to-heal lower extremity venous ulcers, and the antibacterial and antibiofilm activity of Granudacyn in vitro in a 3D collagen wound infection model is evaluated.
