Leith Clark and her team launched Violet Book in 2014.
Violet invites an international cast of creative women--photographers, stylists, editors, artists and writers—to come together on each landmark issue. It’s a creative community that places female talent in dialogue with one another and the world of literature, art, fashion and cinema.
Issue no. 13 debuts on newsstand and digitally with two covers - Gugu Mbatha Raw (in Louis Vuitton) and Miranda July (in Prada) both shot by Emma Summerton and styled by Violet’s founder Leith Clark. This is the first issue to be available digitally so that you can enjoy it in your home during this time.
We will be donating 50 percent of digital sales of this issue to the Young Women’s Trust Emergency Fund for Young Women; a fund to help economically vulnerable young women hardest hit by the impact of the coronavirus crisis.
The Young Women’s Emergency Fund will provide relief payments to help young women aged 18-30 who are facing financial crisis.
The charity, which evolved from the YWCA England and Wales and was formed more than 150 years ago, has joined forces with Women’s Aid, Women's Resource Centre and Women for Refugee Women, who will act as referral partners. The partner charities will refer women who are economically vulnerable, experiencing domestic violence and those who are living in insecure housing to the fund.
Subjects: Applied Art, Fashion And Textiles, Art, Fashion, Film, Lifestyle, Technology
