Blitzed magazine is a bi-monthly lifestyle and music magazine that magnifies and examines all things from the 1980s. The concept of Blitzed Magazine started as a music publication inspired by the Blitz club in London. The music they played there, bands who met there and artists who continue to be inspired by the club. As well as the people who went (or wished they had!)

As things have progressed we’ve realised that the ‘cult with no name’ means so much more. It inspired fashion and lifestyle, helped to promote a more inclusive society sexually and produced some of the icons of the last 40 years. Be enlightened, again, or for the first time. Welcome to Issue 24 of Blitzed Magazine, and a very happy New Year to you all. We’re kicking off 2026 in proper Blitzed style — bold, brilliant, and bursting with stories from the artists who shaped (and continue to shape) the soundtrack of our lives.
On the cover, we were thrilled to sit down with Tom and Alannah from Thompson Twins, talking candidly about their careers and the superb, expansive new collection Industry & Seduction. It’s a warm, insightful conversation that sets the tone for a packed issue.
Elsewhere, Jo Callis reflects on life inside The Human League and The Rezillos; Maggie K De Monde revisits Swans Way and Scarlet Fantastic; and we continue part two of our in-depth conversation with Billy Currie. Marc Massivechats with Belvedere Kane, while the wonderfully unhinged Mr Vast invites us into his own gloriously bonkers bedlam.
We also catch up with independent synth favourites Scenius about their new album, and Paul Browne speaks to all four members of Propaganda ahead of their forthcoming release. There’s a fascinating interview with Jeffrey Bryant, the creative mind behind the iconic wardrobes of Duran Duran and many other pop luminaries, and Peter Hook continues his wide-ranging chat with the Blitzed editors about his remarkable career.
This issue also takes time to remember Soft Cell’s Dave Ball and John Webb, both sadly lost. We’re honoured to publish a beautiful interview with John from a couple of years ago — printed here for the first time. Our thoughts are with their families and friends.
Add to that Mark Reeder’s Berlin adventures, Tim Muddiman on art and music, Mik Scarlet’s City Limits, plus a stack of live reviews, album reviews, competitions and giveaways, and you’ve got one hell of a way to start the year. The Blitzed editors also look back on some of the highlights of our first year at the helm of this brilliant magazine.
So, tuck in, turn it up, and enjoy every word and picture.
