Foam Magazine is an international photography magazine published annually around a specific theme. The magazine serves as a platform for all kinds of photography: from documentary to fashion and contemporary to historic.

Foam Magazine has been awarded several prizes for both its high-grade graphic design and the quality of its content. Most recently, Foam Magazine was awarded Photography Magazine of the Year at the Lucie Awards 2017. The magazine is a publication of Foam Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam.

Magazine reflects on the museum’s legacy and the role of the photographic medium in society through the question: what makes an image stand the test of time? Featuring 92 contributors from across photography and beyond, the issue brings together portfolios, conversations, and personal reflections – from Tyler Mitchell to Marina Abramović, Sakir Khader, Lebohang Kganye, Oluremi C. Onabanjo, and Gem Fletcher, Deborah Willis.
