We like to think we delve pretty deep into the bran tub that is rock’n’roll to pull from the sawdust some of the hidden gems of The Big Beat and its many cousins. But that’s not to say it′s not a good thing to return to rock’n’roll central occasionally, to the artists that underpin the rock’n’roll scene today. And this month by coincidence we have three such - Charlie Gracie, Rebel Dean and Mark Keeley’s Good Rockin’ Tonight - now there’s a decent all-dayer line-up if anyone fancies it!

We still like to mix it up a bit though, so as well as featuring roots rocker Sarah Shook we’ve resurrected the 50s Fashion feature we used to run, for this month only, to enlighten us all on the phenomenon that is The Zoot Suit. Other rockin’ styles may follow! Rock On Johnny Hop
